Bmore Scribble Jam Prelim Wrap-Up
⊆ October 5th, 2008 by mrshadeed | ˜ No Comments »Baltimore MD was the place and Sonar nightclub was the venue to determine who would be going to Scribble
Jam to compete for it all. With DJ P-Funk on the 1 and 2’s and hosts Shaka Pitts and USM’s own E-Major
holding down the hosting duties, it was a chance to see some of the top talent from as far as North Carolina
on display.
Battle winner A-Class was quick with the punchlines and mixed in lyricism with deliberate punchlines aimed at
each opponent on the spot to come home with the victory and to represent Bmore at Scribble Jam.
Beat Battle winner Mark Henry overcame lots of great competitors who had stage theatrics to go along with
each beat they unleashed on the crowd.
Headliner Rock City’s own Royce the 5′9 stormed the stage with Kid Vicious and gave the audience classic
lyricism at its finest. Royce let Vicious loose for 3 or 4 acapella sets after yelling “Get em Vicious”!
Royce delivered each line with intensity and voice control and lead the crowd through chants
such as “The Real Hip Hop ….. Is Right on Stage”. He showed his humorous side as the duo stopped the
show to pose for photos for Music Monthly’s own Kelly Connelly.
Cop the Bar Exam 2, you won’t be disappointed!
